As a recovering corporate lawyer who refuses to give up her bar membership because you never know what the future will bring, I had a hard time with the start of this novel. I assume – based on the name – that the law firm is a partnership and buy-outs of partnerships (if you can even call it that) are just not done in the manner that was presented in this book. It was unrealistic for Arthur just to show up and say I’m buying the company take it or leave it and then with no due diligence the deal is done. Not to mention the ethical issues with taking over lawyers’ clients.Besides Sohanna’s friend Aimee, I didn’t really like any of the characters in the book. Sohanna is really immature. Was she leading her boss on and then when push came to shove, she couldn’t go through with it? It was a bit confusing. Of course her boss was a complete douchebag. Then there are the twins, Arthur and Elise. Talk about obnoxious!Instant love is always a bit tough to swallow but I didn’t think it really worked here. I wanted more awareness of each other in the office scene. Arthur sure seemed to get over his issues with love and commitment in a hurry. I think the love at first sight would have been more believable had Arthur not had these issues (although I understand there’s a different reason the author brought up these issues). All in all Liquid Lust is a quick, light read for someone that doesn’t have the time and energy or desire to invest in a longer story.

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~Man, this is the first book that I have read by K.N. Lee-I don't know why that is-and I can tell you that it isn't going to be the last. She knows how to write a good book. This is the third book in The Club series. This one does not disappoint at all. There is chemistry between the two characters, there is passion. I know that this is only a novella, but there is so much more room to expand on this particular story. It kind of leaves you hanging, but has the closure that you would need at the end of this book. You will want to read this book!! You will want to join The Club!!

Lets hear it for The Club!I would like to know Sohana, and feel glad she was able to be appreciated for more than being a dutiful little servant. And mistress. Fun little story, Enjoy! (The first two in the series (Just One Sip (The Club) and Hidden Obsession (The Club) are also fun and steamy shorts)

I thought that even though it's silly how fast they supposedly fall for each other it was a good story. I felt sad when her boss acted like he did, but it all turned out for the best.

I wonder whether the first book in this series, Just One Sip, didn't set the bar too high, because Liquid Lust was disappointing. Character backgrounds were shallow as water in kiddie pool and dialogues were boring... and sometimes they didn't even make sense.

This is a refreshingly tasteful multicultural romance. Sohanna is a young woman working for a married man wanting to have an affair with her. At the same time, wealthy and attractive Arthur arrives to buy her boss’s company out from under him for his twin sister at a price that can’t be refused. On his way out, he also offers Sohana a salary she can’t refuse. The problem is, she doesn’t want to be yet another boss’s plaything but he makes butterflies in her stomach and she really needs the job.I love the way the author describes Sohana’s appearance as clearly not white like most romance novel protagonists but beautiful nonetheless. I also love how little details of her life are given providing a glimpse of her Indian culture and the expectations placed on her by her family because of that background. Sohana is caught between the American lifestyle her best friend Aimee is pushing her toward and the traditional Indian background of her widowed mother who needs Sohana to support her and her younger brother. When Sohana runs into Arthur at the club, the progression of the relationship is done carefully by the author with respect to the culture Sohana was raised in but not lacking in any of the passion or connection required to make an intensely enjoyable romance. If you love reading multicultural romances that are well done without degrading the culture represented, you will love this novel. If you just love a good romance, you will also love it. Lower on the flame meter than some of the other The Club novels, this story has a depth to it that more than makes up for any of the goings on from other floors of The Club.

I have to say this is one of the best written romance novellas I have read in a long time. The characters are extremely well-developed in the short amount of time and as a reader, I felt connected with them and would love to see a continuation of their story. Both main characters have some hang-ups that cause them to proceed with caution in the beginning as they get to know each other. All in all, this is a magical love story about love at first sight which calls to the romantic in all of us.

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~Liquid Lust by K.N. Lee is a short steamy romp. It is the third in a loosely connected multi author series. I liked Sohana and Arthur. I really liked this story although I felt like the ending was a little rushed. Still in all a good story and I will be checking out further works by K.N. Lee

Really...A very cute and entertaining story. The way that Arthur treated Sohana, and the way their HEA came about was heartwarming. Good read.
