count your chicken before you lay them Reviews
Enlightening! “The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” Count Your Chicken Before You Lay Them is an inspirational story of a man who had everything once in his life but now, he is destitute, both financially and emotionally. What and how things have gone wrong is not comprehensible yet. Soon we find out that he is seeking answers to why the bad things happen only to him. He knocks to the door to get his answers and guess what? His knock is replied. He meets with a mentor who helps him get his life straight. How everything pans out for him, is a creamy whipped delight to read watch. The soul of this book lay in the fact that it is a completely honest book. The author has beautifully fabricated personal and professional levels complexity and dealt with it successfully. This structural, lucid and procedural approach towards the problem solving and becoming world class has been penned down fantastically. You don't see many people writing good books on spirituality and management. For a disheartened soul, Count Your Chicken Before You Lay Them will perform magic. Success, Failure, Love, Smile, Tears - the morals this book contained are unforgettable. A simple step ahead can alter your life exponentially. To go ahead, you don't need to have a huge source of light, only a lantern can lead you to take one step at a time and soon you will lead towards your destination to conquer more mountains. This is what the book does to you. It becomes a lantern for you, In the darkness, it becomes a flashlight for you. It asks you to have a dream and do whatever in your hands to fulfill it.About the writing style, I would humbly say that I have highly appreciated the author's experiment with it. It was a kind of narration you don't encounter every day. I would categorize his narration as a modern one. All the quotes that he wanted to emphasize, has been written in bold letters so that if one wants to get the essence of this work again and again, he can go directly to the page. Some people might not agree with the new kind of narration the author has presented but for me, it worked pretty well.I would recommend Count Your Chicken Before You Lay Them to those who want to see a glimpse of all aspects of one's life. I congratulate the author for sharing his experiences in a well woven narration and wish to read his future works.Touched my personal self.
My learnings :(1) Our age is not determined by our birth certificate or calendar, but by our biological clock, which is powered by our positive thoughts.(2) You dont get better and then become a public speaker. You speak and get better.(3) Enjoy everything without falling slave to anything.(4) Nature resists every change until a threshold is reached, beyond which it starts to support.
Count your Chicken Before You Lay Them by Arun PrabhuI read it somewhere that “Believe in your dreams. They are given to you for a reason”. This book is about a person who had lost everything in his life. As destiny would have had it, he came across a mentor who encouraged him to write down his dreams and pursue the same. Through this guidance he learns to fine tune his focus and mould his dreams into actions. During this journey of transformation he puts the law of attraction into practice, a belief that emphasizes on focusing on thoughts to bring new experiences into one’s life. The protagonist follows the same, initially half-heartedly, but as situations changed for him, his belief grew multifold. The practice helped him to attract everything from career to money to relationships and eventually reaching to the stage of fulfilling his soul calling of giving selfless and unconditional love.I simply loved the entire journey, phase by phase resolving into a meaningful path towards achieving what each human being is called for. The language is simple and the book is beautifully composed. My best wishes for the upcoming creations by the Author.
Good read. It brings you how to start limb, then walk, and later run when you are broke at some point. The books gives you a great perspective about the reality. Author had tried adding the book a filmy touch in the later half but concluded the book with some great lessons for life for your journey.
