After Hours Reviews
This was a fun read! Roberts does a GREAT job at building sexual tension between the characters and alternating between each of their viewpoints. It was a delight to learn that he wanted her as much as she wanted him (as opposed to him noticing her because of her attention or vice versa, which is what I thought the story would be about). There was a mutual attraction and both of them were afraid to be open about it for their own reasons - which were believable...that was important to me. Nothing seemed contrived.Though some of the ideas the characters had and choice phrases were repeated here and there, it didn't detract TOO much from the story. I rooted for both characters throughout the story, anticipating their final union and was not disappointed. The dialogue during the sexual moment was great and I found myself smiling. It was natural and believable. The sex was HOT!! She did a great job with the erotic moments. I left the book imagining these two continuing a fun relationship together. Is that considered a spoiler? It IS an HEA, so I don't think so. ;)Recommended read!
Some really solid, hot UST, but unfortunately, abrupt shifts in POV and scene without any indication of a break (meaning extra spaces between paragraphs or symbols to denote a shift) keep breaking the flow. I don't know if it's something the author does, or if it's the fault of the publisher in formatting, but either way, it affected my reading of this short story and lowered my enjoyment.
Fun short. Good read!
A hot quicky with lots of style and class. Seems to me that this is the kind of office romance movies are made of. Which movies this reader isn't going to say. lol Well done, Ms. Roberts.
